Creative Ways for Drinking More Water
It’s common knowledge to all who know me that I hate the taste of water. I truly and legitimately despise water! I know what you’re thinking; how could I possibly hate the taste of water when it tastes like nothing! The answer is simple, to me…water tastes like sh*t! So, unless you have grounds for accurate comparison…argument over!
I just happen to be one of the unfortunate souls who genuinely despises one of the only things necessary for survival. Scrolling through Instagram, contemplating how I’m still alive despite lack of H2O, I decided to do my own take on a detox water in hopes of finally getting to enjoy the tasteless beverage!
Here are some ideas I came up with to take the work out of drinking water:
Skip conventional citrus in your water and opt for something sweet! A great way to brighten up boring taste, and if you're at all like me, you'll end up drinking more water to reach the sweet treat at the bottom!
Hallelujah, you no longer need to gain the confidence required to clank around a glass bottle all day! The Smartwater Sparkling line provides lightly carbonated water in a 20 oz. plastic bottle that fits perfectly anywhere; at home, on-the-go, and even at the gym. So sip away without worry of a pretentious appearance!
Water prep > meal prep! It's tough to sufficiently hydrate while stuck behind a desk all day, so pre-fill a water bottle with pomegranate arils, place in the fridge, and bring to work! The pomegranate arils are easy to add to the bottle without overflow, and their sweet yet crunchy taste should sustain energy levels...and your sweet tooth, all day long!. The pre-made option also allows for clean and easy refills at the water cooler.
Stop wasting space and put your party pitcher to good use! Creating an at-home spa water is not only classy as hell, but will also increase hydration since you'll surely want to make the most of your hard work rather than watch it rot in the fridge!
Jennifer Aniston swears by this trick and she hasn't aged a day since Friends! While I can't guarantee that you will look like Jen, I know that I most certainly do not, and that this is a great spin on an old thing! Drinking warm water with lemon in the morning, noon, or night is a nice way to hydrate and heal especially during the colder months!
